La Casa is situated on a 2000 acre wine estate in the Chianti Classico area of central Tuscany. La Casa is a heritage listed building, approximately 250 years old, built by artisans. It is one of only 6 on the Tenuta D’Arceno estate, and as such, when re-designing the building with apartments, all design work had to be within the existing building restrictions with no extensions, or openings permitted.
The apartments then were designed to be interchangeable, to allow bigger families or 3-4 families the ability to be with each other under one roof.
Four apartments were created all with bespoke kitchens and bathrooms to be able to maximize the space available. The 4 apartments are named after various Italian cities, and the individually standing barn or “Fenile” in Italian is named Sicilia.
Firenze and Bologna are both connected with Siena and each can be re-configured into a 3 bedroom apartment or all together into a single 5 bed unit.
The house has a heated swimming pool, as the temp drops in the evenings, as well as a full equipped gym.
The big terrace of Siena provides seating capability for up to 16 people.
Siena is around 15 km west, and can clearly be seen with its churches and cathedral from the house, as the house sits at 450m above sea level. This makes it great for fitness guests, great mountain biking, running and walking can be done without leaving the estate and venturing onto the roads , making it completely safe.
The property is in an incredibly peaceful and quite location, with easy access to the highway (10 mins) which can take you North to Florence, East to Arezzo, South to Rome or West to Siena. For those in Europe fly into Florence which is 1 hour North. Lastly local amenities can be found in castelnouvo with a pharmacy, bars, restaurants and a supermarket.
